Welcome Golfer
Hi, This Golf Swing blog is dedicated to the people who want to improve their golf games, improve their golf swings, and not lose so many golf balls!
I have put together years of book, video, and anatomy study, to present a simple golf swing system that can be adjusted for each individual easily without loss of accuracy and distance.
There are many ways to think about the golf swing, but this is the rock bottom truth. To score lower, you need to keep the ball in the fairway, and on the green. If you land in the woods, or the sand, or the water, your golf score goes up (along with blood pressure). This is my intent, to get your golf swing, your golf grip, your golf stance, and your golf mind, aimed to land on fairways and greens.
How do you stay out of sand traps, water hazards, out of bounds, and other trouble?
Fix your golf swing.
If your golf swing is crap, then your score is crap. Let’s fix your swing with something simple. I got 20 (yes 20) strokes back by using this system. And, at the driving range a young kid (who could hit the ball a mile), came up to me and said, “Can you teach me to control my golf shots?”.
10 minutes later he was striping them down the center of the range. I invite you to look at my system and to comment. I don’t have all the answers, and will be pleased to learn from your comments also.

I have been fascinated (ever since I started playing golf) by the incredible variations and theories about the golf swing.
I started playing golf late in life and (since I didn’t know anything about the game) believed anything and everything I was told about the golf game and the golf swing. Oh yeah, and golf equipment too. I was trained as an engineer, so the precise details of the golf swing and all golf equipment was extremely interesting to me.
I have every golf swing video ever made, from Tai-Chi Golf to Effortless Golf to Tension Free Golf. I’ve read the 3 laws of golf, the 7 laws of the golf swing, the 4 magic moves, and they all had something useful to say, but they all seemed to have a gimmick or an idea that was great for them, but terrible for someone else.
A golf mentor, a professional golfer, of mine had a theory about lining up to hit a shot, and a theory about the golf grip that sounded absolutely true. Unfortunately, he was not aware of what his body was actually doing in the golf swing. His arms were so strong and hands were so quick, that he could compensate for any mistake or grip location, and still hit a great shot.
When he tried to teach me his golf swing method, I got worse. I needed a teacher who was aware of my limitations.
So, I went back to the golf books and golf videos. I also watched other golfers in my own age group. My God, what a bunch of ugly golf swings! Most golfer’s swing mechanics are awful.
After several years, I have found something that works for most golfers, but especially for older, fatter, men. Of which, at age 55, height 5-6, and weight of 190 lbs, I AM A MEMBER in good standing. A funny thing happened though; as I worked out a great swing for the chubby man, I found one that works well for a lot of other people too!
So, here I present my ideas about the golf swing. I have tried to make it simple and exact. The golf swing should not be the mystery that it is made out to be. It should be repeatable and FUN.
What do you do if you land next to a tree in golf and have no room to swing, what are you supposed to do?
I’ve heard this a few times…
Well, if you are just out having a good time playing golf, and are not keeping score, then pick the ball up and toss it into a nice patch of rough.
If you are keeping score, or if your playing partner is a fanatic, then either take the 1 stroke penalty for a unplayable lie and drop. Or pop the ball out of trouble (same effect on your score as a penalty). To get out of trouble, I carry a two sided putter. That way I can hit lefty or righty with a short easy club.
This is very important for those who are confused. Thank you for the advice.
